We’re pleased to share some big news from Brightlingsea: Morgan Marine is now an authorised Zipwake Distributor for the UK.
Zipwake’s dynamic trim-control systems have become the go-to choice for boaters who want sharper handling, better fuel efficiency and a smoother ride. They’re an increasingly common request across our marine workshop in Essex, especially from owners looking to improve comfort when running at speed or tackling chop.
Over the last year our team has fitted and serviced more systems than ever, which made this partnership a natural step. As one of the UK’s long-standing boat dealers, with new Jeanneau, Highfield and Nimbus models plus a busy brokerage, we see first-hand how much difference good trim control makes. Zipwake simply works, and keeps working.
As our Sales & Operations Director, Oli Miller put it: “Zipwake has become the benchmark for smart trim control, and our customers are asking for it more than ever. We’re pleased to join their distributor network and deliver products that genuinely improve handling, comfort and safety on the water. We’re delighted to represent the brand and support its continued growth in the UK.“
Becoming a distributor strengthens the services we already provide – from boat repairs to performance upgrades, rigging, electronics and more. It also gives our customers direct access to Zipwake products, advice and installation support through our UK chandlery and workshop team.
If you’re thinking about upgrading to Zipwake, or simply want to understand what it could do for your hull, feel free to get in contact.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is Zipwake and how does it work? A: Zipwake produces dynamic trim-control systems for boats. Sensors on your hull detect changes in speed and sea conditions, and the system automatically adjusts trim tabs to improve stability, handling, fuel efficiency and onboard comfort.
Q: Which boats can use Zipwake? A: Zipwake is compatible with a wide range of powerboats, from small planing hulls to larger cruisers. Our team can advise on the best system for your specific boat during a consultation.
Q: Can Morgan Marine install Zipwake systems? A: Yes. Our marine workshop in Essex offers full installation, calibration, and ongoing support for Zipwake products.
Q: Do Zipwake systems improve safety? A: Absolutely. By reducing roll and improving stability, Zipwake makes handling easier in rough conditions, helping keep everyone onboard more comfortable and secure.
Q: Can I get Zipwake products through Morgan Marine? A: Yes. As an official UK distributor, we provide genuine Zipwake products with expert advice, installation, and aftercare directly from our chandlery.
Q: How do I know if Zipwake is right for my boat? A: Drop into Morgan Marine or get in touch. We’ll assess your boat, discuss your needs, and recommend the best system.
Southampton Boat Show 2025 did not disappoint. Sunshine (mostly), busy pontoons, and a fantastic crowd. We met visitors from every corner of the UK, plus some Scandinavians, Europeans, and even a few Americans – all united by one thing: a shared love of being on the water.
This year’s show welcomed over 91,200 visitors, who enjoyed a whole host of in, on and under water activities, bustling feature zones, and packed stages. Over 50 world and UK premieres were unveiled across the showground and marina, including our very own stock Merry Fisher 1295 Coupe!
It wouldn’t be a true boat show without a bit of wind and rain to keep us on our toes, but spirits stayed high throughout. Our Jeanneau, Highfield and Nimbus ranges drew plenty of attention… and more than a few new owners.
The show was so successful that new orders for popular models are already booking out as far as May/June 2026. If you’re thinking about upgrading or changing boats for next season, now’s the time to get in touch. Production slots at the Highfield, Nimbus, and Jeanneau factories are filling fast, and there aren’t many left for the 2026 season.
It was a brilliant show all round, full of energy, great conversations, and new connections. We’re now back in Brightlingsea organising handovers, following up on enquiries, and already thinking ahead to next year.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stands – customers old and new, our fantastic brand partners, and all the boat lovers who make this show what it is.
Britain’s biggest on-water boat show is back, and we’ll be right in the middle of it. Ten days of climbing aboard, talking boats, and maybe spotting your next one.

Suzuki and OceanR are working together on an innovative campaign to reduce the amount of plastic in the oceans. From 16th February 2023 to 31st March 2023 – for every Suzuki outboard engine sold – to:
Remove 1kg of plastic waste from the oceans
Offer a free custom-designed hoodie – made from organic cotton and the equivalent recycled waste of 20x plastic bottles
This initiative is the latest step in Suzuki’s global ‘Clean Ocean Project’ – which began in 2010 as work to clean beaches but has widened to include technological innovations such as the micro-plastics collection device (currently fitted as standard to the DF115 and DF140). It has also led to changes to Suzuki’s operational processes, such as the removal of nearly 20 tonnes of plastics from its packaging since 2021.
OCEANR’s mission is to support companies around the world to achieve their sustainability objectives – from reducing their carbon footprint and encouraging responsible consumption practices; to sustainable innovation with new products and services. This is achieved by designing custom apparel and product ranges for organisations that live active lives on or near the water – with small volume production, using sustainable materials such as recycled polyester from reclaimed ocean waste, ethically produced organic cotton, and a closed loop supply chain (ie it seeks to recycle resources back into manufacturing rather than discard them).
Morgan Marine supports the positive impact of this campaign. Please do give us a call on 01206 302003 or visit our chandlery & showroom if you would like more information on Suzuki outboards.
