The Hustler 30 design was developed in 1969 as a One Design for the Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club - based on the Hustler 28. She has good looks, a strong build quality and provides ease of handling - both a great cruiser and racer and able to cope in a wide range of weather conditions. The Hustler 30 cockpit design won Cockpit of the Year for her ease of use in 1971 at Earls Court Boat Show. There is a strong and vibrant Hustler Owners Association.
Deck/Rig
Bermudan rig, main sail, furling jib and spinnaker + pole. Jib winches - Lewmar 40 + 2x Lewmar 8. Cap shrouds, lower shrouds spreader, furling with forestay, tensioning backstay. Pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and guard rails. Toe rails around boat to clip on to. Main reefing line. Anchor and chain + spare anchor in cockpit locker. Fenders.
Cabin
V berth (with infill) in forecabin, 2 berths in saloon (approx 5' 11" headroom), port and starboard quarter berths. Dinette table (acts as chart table). Lavac sea toilet in separate compartment. Galley with Plastimo Pacific 2000 - 2 burner hob and oven + sink (cold water - manual pressurised). Cabin lights.
Cockpit & Dash
Deep cockpit design with everything is easy to reach. 4 large seats with lockers. Teak grill cockpit sole. Tiller control. Centre main track across cockpit (Lewmar). Hamburg Merkur C. Plath bulkhead compass.
Electrical & Electronics
In saloon - Clipper Navtex, Nasa Marine SX35 VHF / DSC radio. Kenwood CD player. Std Horizon 175C chartplotter. In cockpit - Clipper GPS, log / wind / depth. 2x 12v batteries with isolation switches. Switch panel. Nav lights. Top of mast transducer - VHF, nav, wind speed / direction.
Machinery
Yanmar 2GM twin cylinder diesel - inboard shaft drive - feathering propeller. 2x gas cylinders.
