Pelican is a well maintained Southerly 28 lifting keel yacht. One of the last Southerlys built, these yachts are very well regarded sailing yachts and perfect for exploring the East Coast with their shallow draft. She is very well appointed with up to five berths, good standing headroom, deep and safe self-draining cockpit, bimini, autopilot and hot air diesel heating. Deck/Rig
Stainless steel forestay, baby stay and back stays. Stainless steel gantry at stern with roller to top to accept the mast when lowered. Pulpit and pushpit rails. Roller Reefing for genoa. She had new sails in 2010. Big (150%) Genoa. All lines go to cockpit - all sails can be set and lowered from the cockpit. Solar panels. Auto bilge pump. Deck hatch. Anchor windlass. Plough kedge anchor, chain and warp (all new in 2010).
Cabin
Double forward cabin. Fill in dinnette to make second double berth. Refrigerator. Hot and cold water. Gas cooker with two burners, grill and oven. Drawers and cupboards containing galley equipment. Eberspacher diesel heating. Forward wet locker with hanging space. Good size heads compartment with sea toilet and sink.
